Master Planning (As Group)
The masterplanning will maintain most of existing features on the site such as tree, path and building. The existing dormitory will be removed and replaced with hotel which used as the accommodation for 120 people, while the parking lot will be moved to the south of the camp in order to expand the ocean view on the north. There are six chalets will be designed to located at the north-east corner and allow people to access ocean view. To maximizes the ocean view, there is also a jetty extended from the camp and invite people to enjoy the natural environment. The south-west corner will be lifted up and become the highest point of the site where people can appreciate the landscape of whole camp. There is an amphitheatre will attach the hill and used as outdoor gathering space, and the existing tree can provide shading to space during summer.

Chalet Design
The main concept is creating a cabin style dwell which can provide tiny but comfortable living experience which is different from the hotel style. The design intent to divide the chalet into three different parts, the living space with large glazing wall on the Northern facade allow people to enjoy the ocean view and sunlight. The functional space consists of bathroom and kitchen locates at the middle of the cottage is lower than the others and there is glazing wrapping around the top edge of the volume and allow the natural light to reflected and perforate into the other two volumes.

Spatial Programming

The innovation of Main hall is not only maintaining the original function, but also adding corridor to connect with the community from the east through putting opening on the eastern façade and western façade. Also, through using waffle structure as the roof of the corridor, it adjusts the existing tree and allow natural light and fresh air come into the space, which creating a blurring space between architecture and nature.

The visitor center is designed to used as main entry of the camp where people drop off from the bus and temporarily stay. The building is divided into two different volumes according to their function, one of them is used as reception area where there are a lot of glazing wall on the northern façade allowing people look around the camp. The other one is used as dwell for camp manager, thus the volume is more enclosure in order to provide privacy for them. Although this two volume is separated, it covered by waffle roof structure which is similar with the one at main hall and make this two blocks integrate into one.
